Work woes....
May and June are extremely busy for me. 

I'm always busy at work, but now I'm extra busy and working longer hours. 

It does not leave much energy for drawing. (Or anything else for that matter)

Bummer 

It does not help that my stupid dog has decided to wake me up at 3am and 4am daily.  I shall never get to sleep in again.

I've been reading a lot about photography lately.  Something I'd noticed, but didn't bother to try and fix was my color calibration.  I have two monitors.  Once you have two monitors you will never want to go back to one.  The problem is that they are not identical. 

I think I have one monitor calibrated, or as calibrated as I can get it with the internal color calibration included with windows 7.  It's not like I could ever afford those fancy color calibration units that professionals use.

I've been attempting to calibrate the 2nd monitor to at least somewhat resemble the 1st one.  I've gotten it a bit closer, but sheesh...this is going to take awhile. 

Yeah, I've also seen all sorts of camera accessories that I really want, and some that I actually need.  Gotta love window shopping.  Want yes, get no.  It's going to take a bit to save up for a decent telephoto lens.  Wishful thinking would be hoping the price comes down for current lenses after newer ones are released.  Ah well.  At least I now have a tripod and a remote trigger. Those are must haves and not horribly expensive.  This has got to be one of the most expensive hobbies. 

I'm rather annoyed with myself.  Last Saturday I managed to trip and fall at the end of a morning of picture practice.  Thankfully my camera was safe in my bag on my back.  It wasn't that bad of a fall, but I did sprain my ankle and bang up my knee.

It's probably a level 1 sprain, which is the lowest grade.  However, it does also mean that I really shouldn't go out this weekend for picture practice!  It's going to be beautiful out!  I shouldn't be walking!  I'm so conflicted.  How depressing.

On a good note, I FINALLY got an ace bandage so I could wrap the stupid thing. 

Note to self:  wear better shoes and pay attention to where you are stepping.

I want to go take pictures!  Yes, I'm being whiny about this.  I might just go out anyway...but that would be stupid. 

Yeah, I so do not get contributing to a group.  I've tried very hard to only attempt to submit the best of what I've taken.  I also try very hard to make sure it follows the group rules.  I also understand that what I submit may not be accepted and that no reason needs to be given. 

What I do not understand would be why some of my shots are not selected, but then shots that look almost identical are...

Weird and annoying.  It almost makes me feel that there is no point in submitting anything to groups...oh well.  At least one was approved.

It's the start of the pollen season here.  And when I say pollen, I do not mean a light dusting that you can hardly see.  I mean POLLEN! All over everything!

If it does not rain, everything will be covered in yellow, with a hint of green.  You can see it in every photograph I took today, and it just started. 

Oh well...it should make some interesting pictures after it rains or something.
